Raycast ⇄ SwiftyClip
Raycast doesn't speak MCP, but it has a native Shortcuts bridge. Wrap SwiftyClip's App Intents in named Shortcuts and trigger them from the Raycast bar with a hotkey or alias.
Minimal setup
- Install SwiftyClip from /download.
- Open Shortcuts.app. Create a new shortcut, add one of the SwiftyClip actions (Ingest / Score / Render Latest). Give it a name like
SwiftyClip Render. - Open Raycast Preferences → Extensions → Shortcuts. The new shortcut will appear in the list.
- Assign a hotkey (e.g. ⌥ ⌘ R) or a Raycast alias (type
scr).
Suggested hotkeys
- ⌥ ⌘ I — Ingest Video (pairs with a Files prompt)
- ⌥ ⌘ S — Score Latest Clip
- ⌥ ⌘ R — Render Latest Clip
Pick hotkeys that don't conflict with your muscle memory. Raycast surfaces conflicts automatically.
Why no native Raycast extension?
We considered shipping a Raycast extension but the App Intents + Shortcuts bridge already covers 95% of the use case with zero maintenance. A native extension makes sense if we add features that don't map to Intents cleanly (e.g. live project browsers). On the roadmap, not urgent.
