About SwiftyClip

SwiftyClip is a macOS application that reinvents video clipping by leveraging the power of on-device AI. Designed for creators, marketers, and anyone who shares video content, SwiftyClip transforms long-form videos into engaging, shareable short clips with automated captions, smart reframing, and scoring—all processed locally on your Apple Silicon Mac. This on-device approach guarantees privacy, eliminates expensive cloud processing fees, and delivers results at unparalleled speed.

Launching in April 2026, SwiftyClip offers a native, intuitive, and powerful workflow that integrates seamlessly into the Apple ecosystem. It's built from the ground up on Swift 6, utilizing core technologies like AVFoundation, Vision, and WhisperKit with MLX to provide a robust and efficient experience that respects user data and their wallet.

Founder Bio

I’m Andrew Acosta, the solo developer behind SwiftyClip. I built SwiftyClip after burning $400 in Opus Clip credits in just three weeks trying to promote my other projects. I realized the cloud AI model was fundamentally broken for high-volume creators. Why rent server time when we have incredibly powerful neural engines sitting right on our desks? With SwiftyClip, I wanted to create a tool that was fast, private, and—most importantly—had a fixed cost. It’s part of my broader mission to build sustainable, user-centric software, a portfolio that includes over 11 other products like Swiftyscribe, Skillgate, WeaveDream, PaletteForge, Reading Steiner, Divergence Meter, FGL, VibeLord, MidiverseForge, and PixelPilot. I believe in empowering creators, not locking them into endless subscriptions.
