TL;DR
SwiftyClip is a native macOS app. Your video files, audio, transcripts, and AI analysis never leave your Mac. We do not upload, scan, or store your media on any server. The only data that reaches our servers is the minimum we need to run your account (email, subscription status) and scheduled-post payloads when you choose to use the built-in scheduler.
What we collect
- Account data (email, name, avatar URL) — for authentication via Supabase.
- Billing data (Stripe customer ID, subscription status) — for managing your plan. Payment details are handled by Stripe; we never see your card.
- Scheduled post metadata — when you schedule a post, the video file is uploaded to our scheduler server, posted at the scheduled time, then deleted. Retention ≤ 24 hours after posting.
- Crash reports & anonymous usage events — PostHog (anonymous event name + timestamp) and aggregate crash logs. No video content, no transcripts.
- OAuth tokens — stored in your Mac's Keychain locally. Server only stores the handle of the connected account.
What we never collect
- Your video files.
- Your audio.
- The transcripts SwiftyClip produces.
- Any content you clip for personal (not scheduled) use.
- Location data.
- Biometrics.
Third parties
- Supabase — auth and metadata storage (US East region).
- Stripe — payments processing.
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics.
- Resend — transactional email.
- Sentry — crash reports (no PII attached).
- Apple App Store Connect — app distribution.
